The Twelve Rivers clinics
At the core of twelve rivers is the belief that patients need a 100% commitment and focus from their practitioner to get the most out of their treatments. Your comfort and treatment goals are always my priority.
Sufficient time is always given to your diagnosis and treatment so that you will gain the maximum benefit from it. This begins with a two hour consultation which will include an initial treatment in most cases. For more information see what can I expect. I have completed three years full time training and am a member of the British Acupuncture Council. For more details see my training
The twelve rivers logo
The Chinese characters in the clinic’s logo can mean ‘twelve rivers’ or ‘twelve meridians’ as in the Chinese language the two are interchangeable. The number twelve corresponds to the number of primary meridians that acupuncturists use to access points of energy in the body.
When energy becomes blocked, relative excesses and deficiencies in the body’s organs can arise and symptoms then manifest. It is the free-flowing movement of a river throughout the complex network of meridians and the organs themselves that restores the person to health.
Stow-on-the-Wold
Twelve rivers, Stow-on-the-Wold offers a spacious, relaxing environment in which to unwind and allow your acupuncture treatment to begin its work.
Located in the historic market town of Stow-on-the-Wold, it is readily accessible to a number of villages in the North Cotswolds – including Moreton-on-Marsh, Oddington, Upper and Lower Swell, Bourton-on-the-Water, The Rissingtons and the Slaughters. Parking facilities are available at the clinic or just outside on Park Street.
I work alongside a McTimoney chiropractor and a massage therapist who are on hand to provide additional treatment if you feel this would benefit you.
